New balers now available in SA

Home Agriculture New balers now available in SA

KUBOTA’S latest BF 3255 RN/ RNT fixed chamber balers are now available in South Africa.

According to the manufacturer, the balers with 2,2m extra wide, low profile pick-up, were designed with an emphasis on high output and durability, and reliable performance.

“These balers offer a cost-effective and profitable investment for any farming business. The BF 3255 series’ optimised design for the manufacture of heavy silage bales with a bale diameter of 1,25m, provides unrivalled bale quality and superb output that provide farmers with the ability to cope with a wide variety of crop conditions,” the company said in a statement.

The production of high-quality bales is key to any efficient feed production operation. Well- formed, dense bales ensure better wrapping, as well as easier stacking and transport, providing benefits all the way down the line, and maximising forage quality and feed value of valuable crops.

These balers are equipped with the patented front mounted PowerBind net and twine system, which ensures neat, tightly wrapped bales. “The net is continuously retained in the PowerBind injection arm. When the bale is complete, the arm moves forward and net is fed directly onto the bale in a flat movement angle, keeping the net tight at all times, providing accurate and extremely reliable net injection,” said Kubota.

The PowerBind system also offers a very low loading height for maximum convenience and time saving. To replace the empty roll, the operator can just swing out the shaft and slide on a new roll.

The PowerFeed intake system, available with 14 or 25 SuperCut Knives, is equipped with the effective Kubota Parallelogram drop floor system, which provides faster and easier clearing of blockages. The system not only lowers the rear edge of the drop floor, but also lowers the front section of the floor, where a blockage is more likely to occur.

“The Kubota PowerFeed intake rotor provides huge feed capacity, handling both wet and dry crops in all conditions. With its 14 fully guided rotor tines, the PowerFeed rotor forces crops into the bale chamber for higher intake speeds. The system also provides instant bale rotation.”

Kubota’s Powermax Full Roller Baler Chamber incorporates 17 heavy duty rollers with inner reinforcing discs.

“This is the ideal solution for producing well- shaped, dense bales. The sturdy bale chamber driveline can withstand the most severe loads, with rollers mounted on heavy duty, remotely greased bearings. Designed for heavy silage conditions, the baler’s 17 small diameter ribbed profile rollers provide maximum density and superb bale rotation in all conditions, while keeping horsepower to a minimum. Bale density can be selected from the comfort of the cab for ultimate flexibility when working in changing conditions.”
