Faster, flexible stockpiling with tracked stackers

Home Transport & Logistics Materials Handling Faster, flexible stockpiling with tracked stackers

HPE Africa’s McCloskey conveyor systems, which compliment the range of crushing and screening plants, have been designed for high productivity and easy mobility in many industries.

That’s according to Rasheel Sukdhoe, McCloskey product manager, HPE Africa, who said benefits of McCloskey stackers include efficient operational costs, reduced material costs per ton, improved material quality and enhanced safety on site.

“The TS4080 tracked stackers, have been designed with the flexibility and mobility needed to ensure that the stockpiling process is as fast and efficient as possible. These units allow operators to stockpile or transfer material, directly from mobile crushing and screening plants, without incurring the double handling costs of using conventional loaders.”

McCloskey TS4080 tracked stackers, with a 36,5 kW engine as standard, have a belt length of 23, 77 m and width of 1 000 mm. These mobile units offer a stockpile capacity of 1 685 m³, stockpile height of up to 11m and a production capacity up to 450 tons per hour.

The stackers can also be containerised for transport, with minimal setup time, substantially reducing transport costs.

The TS4080 track conveyor, with 4m tracks for enhanced manoeuvrability and stability, comes with many important standard features, including a fuel-efficient hydraulics system, user-friendly hydraulic controls, a hydraulically adjustable discharge height up to 11m and a hydraulically adjustable feed-in height to compliment crushing and screening plants. For added efficiency, this unit has a fully skirted tail section.

These stackers are designed to efficiently handle different materials, including sand and gravel, aggregates. compost and topsoil, waste materials, mulch and coal.

HPE Africa’s range of McCloskey equipment comprises jaw, cone and impact (horizontal and vertical) crushers; trommel and vibrating screeners, stacking conveyors and washing systems. The company offers a technical support service, as well as a spare parts, maintenance and repair facility throughout the country.
