COMPACT construction, agricultural and forestry equipment specialist, Wacker Neuson South Africa, a subsidiary of the global Wacker Neuson Group, completed the delivery of 50 RD7 pedestrian dual-vibration rollers to a key customer, Hire All.
Head quartered in Lanseria, Hire All has been a leading supplier of plant and equipment hire for 40 years, with a current fleet comprising of more than 200 product lines and over 6 000 machines.
“Selecting Wacker Neuson as a preferred supplier aligns with Hire All’s well-established reputation as a leading supplier of trusted equipment,” states the managing director of Wacker Neuson sub-Saharan Africa, Dennis Vietze. “They put a lot of thought, planning and research into each purchase to ensure that they provide only the best product solutions to their customers.”According to Wacker Neuson’s area sales representative, Frans Bopape, the robust RD7 machine is packed with more functions than an average walk-behind roller, delivering best-in-class performance in the compaction of soil, gravel, concrete, and asphalt in the construction of roads and foundations. Frans explains that while most other rollers on the market can only be used on soil or asphalt, the extremely versatile Wacker Neuson machine incorporates a dual vibration system that enables customers to choose their application. “Our operator-friendly roller is designed to handle both surfaces with ease.” For enhanced operator safety and comfort, all control elements are located directly on the guide handle, giving the operator complete control of the machine from his operating position. “Equipment rental offers an economic solution and the versatility of the RD7s, coupled with durability and quick and uncomplicated service and maintenance make these remarkable machines a perfect fit for this sector.”
“The versatility of the RD7 is one of the benefits that impressed us most and, given the high suitability of the rollers to our market, we are confident that the machine is going to be very popular with our customers,” says Hire All marketing manager, Deborah Rogers.
Wacker Neuson delivered the first fifteen rollers to Hire All’s headquarters just two days after receiving the order, with the remainder arriving 6 weeks later. “We are extremely satisfied with the quick turnaround time,” says Rogers. “We sent some of the rollers directly to our customers and distributed the rest of the machines to our eight Gauteng as well as to our Emalahleni facility in Mpumalanga.”
Operator training on the RD7 was presented to Hire All personnel by Bopape and product manager for Wacker Neuson, Rainer Schmidt, at Hire All headquarters. When it comes to service and maintenance of the units, a team of some 30 artisans will be responsible for the regular servicing, maintenance and repairs and general repairs and services on machines returning from site will be taken care of by mechanics based at branches.
“Wacker Neuson’s great and diverse product portfolio, which is supported by a matching spares offering, enables us to repair the machines with minimum downtime,” notes Rogers.
Vietze says, “Wacker Neuson products stem from exceptional German engineering. We are confident that Hire All will be excellent brand ambassadors for our products supported by exceptional service to their customers. Companies like Hire All enable us to further expand our African footprint by bringing the premium brand to more customers across South and sub-Sahara Africa.”
