THE supply of rented accommodation and ablution units by Kwikspace has enabled construction company Mpiloshkins Projects to cost-effectively accommodate the Department of Agriculture’s staff on-site, while it carries out renovations to the Department’s buildings.
Mpiloshkins Projects won the tender to renovate the Department of Agriculture’s buildings in Hluhluwe, KwaZulu-Natal, and needed to provide accommodation for the staff for the six-month expected duration of the renovations.
“Kwikspace delivered high-quality rented units to the site, so the staff will be comfortable while their building is being refurbished. They can enjoy the convenience of remaining on the same property, instead of being accommodated elsewhere. A six-month rental of Kwikspace units is more cost-effective than brick-and-mortar accommodation, says Lungile Nyawose, Account Manager for Kwikspace..
The customer was supplied with a 12 m x 3 m bedroom unit; a 6 m x 3 m toilet unit, comprising male and female toilets as well as wash basins; and a 6 m x 3 m shower unit comprising wash basins as well as male and female showers. All come equipped with lights, plug points and an electrical COC.
With a large rental fleet, Kwikspace has the capability to deliver rental units throughout southern Africa, within 14 working days. It delivered the units to the Department of Agriculture in April, and will collect these units in October, when the rental contract lapses. “When renting from Kwikspace, there is always an option to extend the lease. Most construction projects run longer than planned, so it’s useful for our customers to be able to extend their rental contract as needed,” says Nyawose.
