POWER quality (PQ) measurements can be complex to set up and frustrating when critical events are missed.
That’s according to Comtest, local channel partner for Fluke and which has introduced the new Fluke 1770 Series, which it believes solves this headache.
The device captures more than 500 power quality parameters by default, from fast transients up to 8kV, harmonics up to 30kHz, and dips and swells, as well as the voltage, current, and power measurements that enable technicians to characterize electrical systems.
“The Fluke 1770 Series walks technicians through the whole set up to eliminate any measurement errors and ensuring all the correct parameters are selected,” said Frank Healy, Product Manager for Fluke.

- High-speed voltage transient capture — Capture damaging high-speed, high magnitude transients to mitigate their effects before equipment fails.
Fluke 1770 Series Power Quality Analysers come standard with the Fluke Energy Analyse Plus software, designed to analyse power quality data right out of the box without extensive training. It enables technicians to quickly compare results to historical values, benchmark against industry norms, compares measured data to local conditions, and create a more complete picture of what’s occurring across the facility — even as the data is still being collected.
